Body = Kò

Good morning = Bonjou

How? = Kijan?

I, me, my, mine = Mwen or “m”

Fine = Byen

Grandma (grandmother) = Grann

Child = Pitit

Darling (honey) = Cheri

Good morning Grandma = Bonjou grann

Good morning my child = Bonjou pitit mwen

How is your body (aka how are you?) = Kijan kò w ye? or kijan kò a ye?

My body is fine darling (aka I am fine) = Kò mwen byen cheri

Shadow = Lonbraj

Father/dad = Papa

Who? = Ki moun?

This is or that is = Sa se

Dad, who is this?  =Papa, ki moun sa?

This is my shadow = Sa se lonbraj mwen

Skeleton = Skelèt

A scream that is asking for help = Anmwe

Head = Tèt

What is wrong? = Ki sa ou genyen?

I have a headache = Mwen gen tèt fè mal

Since when? = Depi ki lè?

Since this morning = Depi matin

I am sorry to hear = Mwen regrèt sa

Feel better = Santi ou pi byen

Thanks = Mèsi

Hair = Cheve

Wow! your hair is beautiful = Wow ! cheve ou bel

Don’t bother me = Pa anmède’m

Ear (s) = Zòrèy

What’s on your ears? = Ki sa ki nan zorèy ou la?

It’s a Walkman = Se yon walkman

Eye (s) = Je or Zye

Look = Gade

What? = Ki sa?

Yon = A (one)

Bird = Zwazo

See = Wè

Turn = Vire

A bird = Yon zwazo

Turn your eyes = Vire je ou or vire zye ou

Eye lash (es) = Plim je

Eyebrows = Sousi

Nose = Nen

Stomach = Vant

Shoulder = Zepòl

How are you? = Kijan ou ye?

I am not fine = Mwen pa byen

My nose is stuffed = Nen mwen bouche

Mouth = Bouche

Open your mouth so you can eat = Ouvri (ouvè) bouch ou pou ou manje

tooth or teeth = Dan

For most questions but not necessary = Èske

You, your, yours = Ou (w)

Past tense = Te

Brush = Bwose

Do it = Fè’l

Did it = Tè fel

And you? = E ou min’m?

They, them, their, theirs = Yo

Did you brush your teeth? = Èske ou te bwose dan ou? or Ou te bwose dan ou?

Yes I did = Wi mwen te fè’l

Yes I brushed them = Wi mwen te bwose yo

Tongue = Lang

Pink = Woz

What? = Ki

Color = Koulè

Too = Tou (also means a hole)

My tongue is pink = Lang mwen woz

What color is your tongue? = Ki koulè lang ou?

My tongue is pink too = Lang mwen woz tou

Neck = Kou

Chest = Pwatrin (or some people say lestomak)

Arm (s) = Bra

Hand (s) = Men

Finger (s) = Dwèt

Leg (s) = Janm

Foot or feet = Pye

Toe (s) = zòtèy

Nail (s) = Zong

Thank you = Mèsi

Where = Kote

Going = Prale

Careful = Atansyon

Play = Jwe

Soccer = Foutbòl

Where are you going? = Kote ou prale?

I am going to play soccer = Mwen pral jwe foutbòl

Be careful with your legs = Fè atansyon ak janm ou
