My name is Jeanne Fortune. I was born in Port au Prince, Haiti. I created Learn Haitian Creole / Aprann Kreyòl Ayisyen to help those interested in learning about Haitian Creole. I have had the pleasure of translating (from Haitian Creole to English and vice versa) for family, friends, strangers, and hotels. My goal is to provide people with the opportunity to learn a few words and or phrases in Haitian Creole so they may be able to communicate better with the Haitian community.

I am the author of a children’s book titled “Mommy, I Need My Wheels.” The book will also be published in Haitian Creole under “Manman, Mwen Bezwen Wou Mwen Yo.” Check out my “book” page for more details.
