This post will not cover all the words used to describe Christmas in English because not all the words exist in Haitian Creole. Santa Claus = Papa Nwèl

Christmas (Holiday) Gift = Zetrenn

Christmas Tree = Abdenwèl

Lights = Limyè

Merry Christmas = Jwaye Nwèl (Joyeux Noel is very common in Haiti but it’s French)

Star = Etwal (Zetwal)

Angel = Zanj (Anj)

Decorations = Dekorasyon
